Ahead of the 2023 gubernatorial election, the Social Democratic Party (SDP) has inaugurated a 40-man campaign team in Delta state, with Jiff Mokobi as the Director General.
Olorogun Kenneth Gbagi, Delta state gubernatorial candidate of the party organised the inauguration in Warri.
According to reports, Deltans, including youths and okada riders trooped out in numbers to support Gbagi’s guber candidacy.
In attendance were Nasarawa SDP gubernatorial candidate, A.M. Mustapha and SDP South-South National chairman, Fred Owotorofa who inaugurated the governorship campaign council.
Acknowledging the Director General of the campaign council, Mustapha said “You are a scholar of many parts and you have been so known, been carefully vetted and Olorogun Kenneth Gbagi believes you are the man that the cap of DG Campaign Council truly fits.
“Lead the campaign, work closely with Olorogun Kenneth Gbagi, work closely with the campaign Council and deliver victory to the glory of God, congratulations!
” The authority you have is also to share this gospel body, Olorogun Kenneth Gbagi campaign for Governor of Delta state 2023.”
In acceptance of the Director General position, Jiff Mokobi said he will work assiduously to deliver SDP in Delta state.
“To whom much is given, much is expected. Gbagi knows why he fingered me out and I want to say earnestly, I don’t accept something I cannot do and I want to say I like challenges.”
“I have accepted this appointment from the North to the central and we are going there because we are going to tell the truth and God will be on our side.” His speech read in parts.
