The INEC office in Izzi local government area of Ebonyi state was razed down in the early hours of Sunday 27th of November.
The attack is said to be the third attack after a series of attacks on INEC Local Government offices in Ogun and Osun states.
There were no casualties but the building and several assets were destroyed in the fire.
The damages include 340 ballot boxes, 130 voting cubicles, 14 electric power generators, large water storage tanks, assorted office furnitures, and yet to be determined number of permanent voters cards (PVCs).
The statement was given by the resident electoral commissioner, for Ebonyi state, Mrs Onyeka Pauline Ugochi.
The attention of the Nigerian police force and other security agencies has been called in to carry out investigation and bring the perpetrators to book.
