2023 elections: You will feel good governance – Ned Nwoko reassures Delta North

With few weeks away from the 2023 senatorial election, the Delta North People’s Democratic Party (PDP) senatorial candidate, Prince Ned Nwoko, has reassured Delta North of responsive governance.

The grassroot politician offered his reassurance during an interactive meeting with Aniocha North association of Okada riders, on Sunday, 5 February, 2023, at Issele-Uku.

Addressing the riders, Nwoko reassured the people of responsive governance and stated that, it is his utmost desire to serve the people and champion their cause. However, to achieve that, he must work with PDP members who share same ideology with him.

“Government is about the people. It is about using the available resources to care for the people. I am not vying for this position just to answer a senator. Rather, I want Delta North to see and feel what responsive governance is all about.

“It is my deepest desire to serve Anioma and champion their cause. But, I can only achieve this with a complete team. The House of Assembly, House of Representatives, Governorship, and the Presidency must be occupied by the PDP members. We share same ideology.

“Most of the key projects I will work on as a senator, like the N50million grant bill for youths’ empowerment, the construction of solid embankment and roads in Oko and Ndokwa East axis, to control the reoccurring flood disaster, would be done through the federal government.

“Having a President who is not a PDP member, will thwart these workable plans. They may likely not approve them, because, it is not part of their plans. But, with Atiku and Okowa at the presidency, it will be very easy for me.

“I appreciate your support. I do. But it is not enough to support just me. It is important you extend your supports to other PDP candidates. I need to work with the complete team. That is the only way I can be a productive senator. ” Nwoko said.

Expressing concern about the nature of the riders job, Nwoko said that, Okada riding is not what he would recommend for any youth.

In his words, “Okada riding is too risky, both for you and your passengers. If you must do transportation business, then we should be talking about tricycle. We can take it in as part of constituency project to empower riders with tricycles and mini buses. I have never supported the idea of okada riding, it is too risky.”

He further promised to discuss better ways to improve the riders means of livelihood with other PDP candidates.
