2023: You need to read this very important announcement for all Obi-dients in Delta

It’s no longer news that 90 percent of voters in Delta are fans of Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party. Our conclusion is based on the fact that many members of the People’s Democratic Party PDP and the All Progressives Congress APC are supporters of Peter Obi. But for the fact that they are card carrying members of the two parties or they are benefiting in one way or the other from them, they cannot openly support the Obidient movement. We are quite aware of this.

However, there’s a very critical issue in the Obidient movement in the state. I read an article where someone said they are interested more in the presidency and not in other positions. Yes, it is good you are interested in Obi becoming president of Nigeria. That is the pursuit of many Nigerians. But it is a very narrow minded view of the majority.

It must be stated that the president cannot succeed without the full cooperation of members of the National Assembly. This comprises the Senate and the House of Representatives.

If the Obidient movement comprising millions of Nigerians across the state and nation is only to vote for Peter Obi and allow other candidates to struggle their way through, it may not be the best for all of us. If members of the Senate and House of Representatives are predominantly of the opposition PDP and APC, it may not be a smooth ride for Peter Obi as president. His goal of a new Nigeria cannot be achieved on a platter of gold. There are saboteurs everywhere.

What this means is that Peter Obi needs men of like minds who bear his vision and mission in the Senate and  House of Representatives. These are men and women who will support his good bills for the overall good of all Nigerians. This is why Labour Party candidates for Senate and Reps should be voted massively as we vote for Peter Obi for president. The million man matches across states cannot be for Obi only but for all candidates of Labour Party across the country.

Thankfully, the election for presidency and National Assembly will be held the same day. It therefore implies that we are to vote all candidates of Labour Party’s Papa, Mama, Pikin on that same day. This will be a big win for Peter Obi and all Nigerians if majority in the Senate and Reps are Labour Party members.

Our campaigns all over the nation should be for a total overhaul of the Nigeria’s political space. The election should be a total cleansing and purging of the political space in Nigeria. All the old and ruling parties should be completely obliterated out of power and let a new breed of men and women who are keen on seeing Nigeria progress takeover the affairs of Nigeria. This will be the beginning of a new dawn for our country.

Nigerians have suffered enough in the midst of plenty. In Obi and his lieutenants we have an assurance of a better, progressive and new Nigeria with hope for everyone. Therefore, we must not make the avoidable mistake of voting only for Peter Obi but we must also vote for all candidates of the Labour Party for Senate and House of Representatives on the election day.

This is the announcement we must carry to all our people in the grassroots and villages. We must knock on all doors. We must enter every nook and cranny and tell the people of the need to vote for Labour Party. We must not allow one vote to be lost. It is a task we must all carry out. And it must and should be done.
