In a bold political declaration ahead of the 2027 gubernatorial race, Senator Ned Nwoko has affirmed that Delta North is unequivocally behind Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, pledging total support for his re-election bid.
Speaking at a high-stakes APC stakeholders’ meeting held Sunday at Government House, Asaba, Senator Nwoko, who represents Delta North Senatorial District, stated emphatically that the Anioma people are united in their endorsement of Oborevwori, describing him as “the sole candidate of the people.”
Addressing the packed hall of party faithful, Nwoko received resounding applause as he declared: “Delta North Senatorial District will deliver 100% support for Governor Sheriff Oborevwori.
“He has earned our trust through equity, vision, and performance. His M.O.R.E. Agenda is not just a blueprint, it’s a transformation strategy that resonates with our people and aligns seamlessly with President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope agenda.”
The senator praised Oborevwori’s strides in infrastructure and human capital development, noting that his leadership has brought visible progress to Delta State.
“We are not just talking party politics here, we are talking performance. Sheriff Oborevwori has delivered, and Delta North will stand with him all the way to 2027 and beyond,” Nwoko declared.
The influential lawmaker also reaffirmed Delta North’s loyalty to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, stating that the district is firmly committed to his administration and eventual re-election.
“We are fully aligned with President Tinubu’s vision for a greater Nigeria. Delta North is united, and we will work to ensure APC’s victory at both the state and national levels in 2027.”
Senator Nwoko also hailed former Governor Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa, referring to him as the “National Leader” of the party in Delta, further solidifying the alliance between party heavyweights.
The stakeholders’ meeting brought together key political figures including Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa, members of the National Assembly, Speaker of the State House of Assembly Rt. Hon. Emomotimi Guwor, APC State Chairman Elder Omeni Sobotie, and other top party stalwarts from across Delta.
Reflecting on the gathering, Nwoko remarked: “This is more than a meeting—it’s a homecoming. Many of us have been here since 1999, and today feels like a powerful reunion. With this unity, Delta State is on the verge of becoming a solid APC stronghold. No other party stands a chance in the 2027 election.”
