The family of Dinchi Lar, a Nigerian lady, have come out to protest the incarceration of Miss Dinchi, who was sentenced for one year in the United Arab Emirates.
The reason for the incarceration was for exposing the maltreatment of Nigerians at Dubai airports.
On August 31, Lar had taken to her Twitter page to share photos and videos of herself and other people she identified as Nigerians being detained at the Dubai international airport.
The treatment of Nigerians in Dubai is wrong. After meeting requirements for a visa, which requires alot of money, and you're issued one You get treated with disdain when you arrive. Dinchi posted pictures and videos citing that Nigerians were being mistreated at the airport.
She wrote, “I am at the Dubai international airport and myself and some tiger Nigerians with valid visas are being held in a room hours after arriving with no explanation and no information on what we can do. Please help me. There is more than 20 of us.”
Her family have come out to call on the Nigerian Government for intervention.
