A 4-year-old boy named Julian Montano survived a car crash that killed both his parents and his two siblings.
According to reports, the boy’s family were on Saturday, November 20, travelling to the Grand Canyon for a Thanksgiving celebration when the accident happened.
Speaking about the sad incident, the boy’s uncle, Anthony Gonzalez revealed that his parents’ vehicle was hit head-on “by a drunk driver travelling the wrong way” in California, US.
Gonzales told Sacramento news station KCRA that the crash occurred shortly before 5 a.m. local time
While the boy suffered “extensive injuries”, his parents, Brittney and Tony, and his siblings, Marianna and Antonio were all killed “instantly.”
“Everybody’s suffering from this. This is a giant loss. Four family members at once is too much.” He said.
Going further, Gonzalez revealed that the young boy is expected to make a full recovery.
He wrote;
“We will never be the same after this and our family is trying desperately to stay strong for Julian,”
“We have to bury four loved ones that were taken from us way too soon, so Julian has a place to visit his mom, dad, and siblings.”
Meanwhile, it was gathered that the driver of the other vehicle was hospitalized.
An official with the California Highway Patrol said it’s too early to confirm whether alcohol was a factor, but said “that’s the assumption.”
