It is not likely that Oko Community in Oshimili South Local Government Area of Delta has in recent times witnessed the volume of vehicles that throng the area on this day 29/12/25.

Not even the collapsing roads that lead to the community and the scorching sun could deter the crowd as they kept coming. As the dignitaries arrived the venue, the ushers led them to their seat with pleasure.
For several hours, praise singers and itinerant drummers danced around the streets of Oko Community chanting Ebubediike 1 of Oko Kingdom.
The Venue of the ceremony was a beehive of activities as hundreds of guests from far and near thronged the epoch making event.
Notable Politicians, Former and Serving Commissioners, Lawmakers, Local Government Executives, High Chiefs, Civil Servants, Bank Executives, Media Practitioners, Well-wishers and Traditional Rulers were in attendance and donned various exotic attires.
Resident of the community were not caught unaware. They knew that the ceremony would hold.
As early as 7.00 am, they began to arrive at the venue for a programme slated for 11 am on that memorable day 29/12/25.
Olisa Frank Ogochukwu accompanied by his wife, relatives and Well-wishers arrived at the venue and were received by an ecstatic crowd. They praised Olisa who also waved at them.
When it was time to decorate him, the crowd again praised him. Olisa sat under a special canopy where he was decorated with the title by His Highness Onishe (Dr) Benjamin Nnabundo Anwasia JP. Okakwu of Umu-Oko.
The reading of his citation was skipped as the crown said “we already know him. Olisa Frank Ugochukwu took a bow immediately after the pronouncement of the title and presentation of the certificate, the newly crowned chief again waved at the people, hugged some, exchanged banters with some and shook hands with a few.
His first assignment as the newly crowned chief was his acceptance speech. He thanked the community for the honour done on him.
Promising not to let the kingdom and the people down. While commenting on the newly crowned chief, an Asaba – based Legal Practitioner, Barrister Uche Okolie described him as an avatar, sent by God once in every generation to redefine life and re-order the process of it’s existence.
He is kind, he has compassionate spirit and diligence, said Barrister Okolie. “The chief is eloquent, he should join politic to make a difference.
