The much-anticipated Africa for Peace Sports Festival is set to commence on November 15, 2025, in celebration of the International Day for Tolerance and to mark the beginning of its second edition.
The festival will feature an exciting lineup of sporting events, including gym competitions, scrabble, snooker, table tennis, and mini football. Chess and fuss-football will be featured as demonstration sports, with attractive prizes for participants.
Former Super Eagles international Edema Fuludu has been appointed Chairman of the Local Organizing Committee (LOC) by the festival’s initiator, Ambassador (Comrade) Sheriff Mulade, Ph.D.
In his remarks, Fuludu expressed appreciation for the appointment and pledged to work closely with the organizing team to ensure a successful and impactful event.
The mini football competition will feature two categories — Under 25–45 and 46 and above — with strict adherence to the official rules of the game.
With ₦10 million in total prizes and consolation awards up for grabs, the Africa for Peace Sports Festival promises to be a thrilling and memorable experience. Registration is now open to interested participants across the region.
According to Ambassador Mulade, who also serves as Chairman of Delta State Mini Football, the festival will provide a platform for the Nigeria Mini Football Association scouting team to identify and recruit talented players who could represent Nigeria in future international tournaments.
