The Mayor of Urhoboland, Eshanakpe Israel, a.k.a Akpodoro, has congratulated all sons and daughters of Urhobo nation in Nigeria and in the Diaspora over the celebration of 2023 Christmas.
He noted that the season is worth celebrating in view of the birth of the Lord Jesus Christ centuries ago.
Calling on the Urhobo people worldwide during the grand finale of the activities marking the end of the year ceremony for the the Agimor Group Ltd, over the weekend in Abuja, Akpodoro urged Nigerians to exude love in all they do.
Akpodoro who is the President and CEO of Agimor group, urged Nigerians to show love to all people, particularly in this yuletide season.
In his special message, the Mayor extended his season’s greetings to the tradition institution in Urhoboland as he poured encomiums on all Urhobo monarchs describing them as the best that could happen to the people of God.
“They have been leading us over the years in the best Urhobo culture and tradition and we owe them their place of honour in all we do. May the Christmas celebrations be full of joy and happiness to all Urhobo people.
Stressing on the need to show love this season, the vociferous Mayor said, only love can sustain a nation as he called on Urhobo youths to stay out of trouble, stay safe and maintain peace anywhere they find themselves.
The Mayor noted that Nigeria is undergoing ‘surgical operation’ by way of revolutionary changes being piloted by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu saying there is hope for the citizenry under the All Progressives Congress,
Akpodoro, in his assessment of the current administration at the centre, noted that the government is making appreciable progress in the delivery of a nation that citizens will be proud of,
