APC chieftain in Oshimili South, Chief Olisa Ogochukwu, has commended Governor Sheriff Oborevwori for what he described as impressive strides in infrastructural development across Delta state, particularly in the area of road construction.
Ogochukwu, who was reacting to some of the ongoing and completed road projects in the state, said the governor has demonstrated uncommon commitment to improving mobility, boosting economic activity, and enhancing the overall quality of life for residents.
He identified several key road projects executed under the Oborevwori administration, noting that the reconstruction and dualization of major urban roads in Asaba and Warri will eased traffic congestion and open up new commercial opportunities.
He also praised the rehabilitation of strategic link roads connecting rural communities to urban centers, saying the initiative has strengthened agricultural trade and reduced transportation difficulties for farmers.
Ogochukwu further pointed to drainage-integrated road networks being constructed in flood-prone areas as evidence of the governor’s thoughtful and proactive approach to Delta’s unique environmental challenges.
According to him, the quality and pace of work on these projects reflect a leadership style rooted in accountability, continuity, and a genuine desire to uplift the people.
He stated that the governor’s infrastructural interventions are already yielding positive results, including reduced travel time for commuters, lower logistics costs for businesses, and increased employment opportunities created by the construction sector.
He added that several rural communities that were previously inaccessible during the rainy season now enjoy reliable road access.
Ogochukwu noted that his commendation is based on visible evidence of performance and the need to acknowledge good governance in the state.
He said Governor Oborevwori has done well and deserves the support of all Deltans as the administration continues to implement people-focused development projects.
He urged residents, traditional rulers, and political stakeholders to rally behind the governor’s ongoing efforts, emphasizing that the progress being recorded is beneficial to the entire state.
Ogochukwu added that Delta is on a forward-moving path and called for collective cooperation to sustain the momentum.
