Members of the All Progressives Congress (APC), in Aniocha North, Delta state, led by Bolum Michael Okwechi, have declared support for the Delta North People’s Democratic Party (PDP) senatorial candidate, Prince Ned Nwoko, and ready to officially decamp to PDP.
The party members visited Mount Ned, on Saturday, 31 December, 2022, to formerly identify with Ned Nwoko’s senatorial ambition.
Okwechi stated that the decision to decamp to PDP was fueled by the incessant discrepancies in the party (APC). According to Okwechi, the group needed somebody with the capacity to deliver the people, and they trust Ned Nwoko to do so.
“I brought these key members of APC, who have complained bitterly that they have not seen light in APC, since joining the party.
“The members are very happy meeting with Ned, and in few days time, will officially decamp to PDP”, Okwechi said.
Responding, Nwoko said he is happy to receive them, stating that his gate is always open to receive everyone, politics or no politics.
Nwoko said that he is very delighted because most of the members are youths, noting that the PDP’s unanimous aim is to empower the youths and make them self-reliant.
The leading senatorial candidate assured the members that he would work together with them. He further urged them to also throw their support behind other PDP candidates, in order to have the complete team, to enable them achieve all campaign promises.
