Anioma people

APPEAL COURT VICTORY:MY GRATITUDE.

Fellow compatriots.

It is with immense gratitude and whiff of satisfaction that I wholeheartedly accept the decisive verdict of the Court of Appeal affirming my victory as the duly elected Senator, representing Delta North senatorial district.

The Wednesday November 01,2023 Court  of Appeal judgement in Lagos validated our popular mandate.

The National Assembly Elections Petitions Tribunal, situated in Asaba, had initially ruled on September 7, 2023 confirming my resounding victory in the senatorial election that transpired on February 25, 2023.

The Appeal court  ruling, which upheld the Tribunal judgement, therefore marked the culmination of a legal battle that saw the petitions of Peter Nwaoboshi of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and Ken Kanma, the Labour Party candidate, dismissed for lack of  merit.

The judiciary has eloquently proved its mettle as the bastion of democracy and rule of law.

Today,I stand firmly as the legitimate winner of the Delta North senate seat, under the ticket of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP.

The victory, awesome in grandeur is the supreme will of the Almighty. I am honoured by the support everyone has given me.

My gratitude especially to the immediate past governor of Delta state and Vice -Presidential candidate of the PDP, in the 2023 general elections, His Excellency Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa for his enigmatic, courageous and inspiring leadership.

I also wish to thank the state governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori for his tremendous support. My profuse appreciation to leaders of our strong  party at the unit, ward, local government, state and national levels for their commitment.

I thank all directors and members of my senatorial campaign organization led by Hon.Pascal Adigwe, a great team that displayed exceptional tenacity in our long and  confident journey to irreversible victory. I am also grateful to my legal representatives at the courts for their unassailable defense and winning competence.

Special thanks to my mammoth supporters across Delta North and far afield for the confidence in electing me as their senator and unwavering solidarity, throughout the legal sessions. To Delta North traditional rulers and community leaders across the nine local government areas in Anioma, I say a big thank you for your royal blessings and guidance.

I would like to thank all my family members for their unending love and compassion.Affectionate thanks to my delectable spouse, Regina Daniels who particularly criss -crossed all quarters in Anioma land, along with me and our enthusiastic entourage on breath-taking campaigns, following every step of the way to the courts with fervent prayers and goodwill.

Ultimately I thank God as I savour this victory rooted in genuine triumphalism. I sincerely invite and welcome my political opponents to join in the task of Anioma development and nation -building.

Let me reassure the people of Delta North that I remain resolute to serve with honesty, empathy and integrity,as we begin a new era evolved by popular democracy and sealed by law.

I will listen to the concerns of all and place the best interests of the people at the centre of my senate activities.

My focus at all times as Senator would be on respectable values- service ,good governance and transparency.

On my honour,I pledge that the impact would be felt in Anioma,Delta and Nigeria, spiraling towards a better world.

Thank you.

SENATOR NED MUNIR NWOKO.
