Biafra group wants Easterners to stop using Nigeria currency, tells Igbos to hang Biafra flag in homes, cars, offices

By Gladys Ekwu

A Biafran group under the aegis of Ancestors Warriors of Biafra (AWOB) on Tuesday morning, May 4, 2021 went to some local government secretariats in Anambra state and tied palm fronds in their gates, thereby preventing workers from entering their offices.

Onitsha South and Idemili South local government areas of the state and others were among NM

the LGAs the group visited, threatening that all Igbos should renounce citizenship of Nigeria.

An eye witness told Emerald News that the group was suspected to have used the hours of the night to tie palm fronds on the gate and threw in the leaflets that indicated their demands.

According to the leaflets, AWOB has its head office at 13 Agbani Road, Awkunano, Enugu.

It read ‘From the AWOB General Commander and Leader, Chief Nworie Ukwani, everyone in Biafra land must follow these steps without further delay’.

‘You and your family are advised to go and withdraw your money in Nigeria bank, exchange it to Crypto currency like TBC, the billion coin or US dollars’.

You are in Biafra land, make sure that Biafra flag is at your house, shops, offices, cars, tricycles both commercial, private, schools, hospitals, churches and shrines”.

‘From now on, you don’t take instructions from Nigeria government and no more payments of any government levies, tickets and taxes”.

“Suspend all electricity bills from now till further notice. Stay away from local government, Nigeria Police, Army, Navy, Civil Defence, Road Safety, Local Vigilantee or security”.

Avoid anything that will link you to Nigeria government for now, save your life please. We advise that all schools should be closed till further notice, please, save our children”.

“You are Biafran, please get your symbols or Biafra I and make sure you protect it to any length. Start paying and receiving crypto currency and USD as means of payment and report any one who refused to accept it from you to our coordinator or text 09016888970, 07033784930 or AWOB General +27731736916 on WhatsApp only”.

“Join AWOB today, defend our Biafra with all your might, our God will be with you”.

“Our family members who are still serving in Nigeria forces should come out from that country ruled by dead man. Support AWOB General, this is our fight, our hope and our life”.

Emerald News reports that the gates of the secretariats were later  opened as the men of the police were deployed to the LGAs to open the gates for workers to gain entrance to their offices..

As at the time of filing this report, work was going normally as workers were seen carrying out their responsibilities.
