The Caretaker Chairman of Bomadi Local Government Council, and Head of Personnel Management (HPM) Dr. Ighomrore Hope has advised ward coordinators for palliative distribution in the LGA to be transparent during the distribution.
Dr. Hope made this known in a meeting held with ward coordinators and stakeholders in the council premises ahead of the second phase of distribution for the vulnerable at the grassroots.
The caretaker chairman noted that the government was sympathetic to the plight of citizens in the country and therefore thought it wise to bring food items to alleviate the people’s suffering, adding that the items should thus, get to the targeted group of persons.
He pointed out that, coordinators had been given marching orders to ensure that the items were evenly distributed to those who were vulnerable.
In the same vein, the LGA coordinator, Mr. Bernard Barbar, advised them to work according to the guidelines given to them and be responsive to the task before them, saying that, there should be no form of diversion of any item.
Mr. Barbar who also doubled as the Assistant Auditor, People’s Democratic Party, (PDP), Delta State Chapter, told them to count themselves worthy to be part of the coordinators, and should therefore, use the opportunity to sell themselves for greater responsibilities ahead.
In his words: “Your performance during the first phase gave you this second chance, therefore use it well to actualize your dreams”.
He expressed gratitude to the state government for giving the coordinators the opportunity to serve and the Caretaker Chairman for his understanding and proactive nature.
