Dr. Cairo Ojougboh, a stalwart of the All Progressives Congress APC in Delta state has been expelled from the party.
In a letter sighted by Emerald News, the letter expelling Dr. Ojougboh was signed by chairman of the Ika South local government area, Hilary Fada Ibude.
Ibude said Ojougboh was expelled following series of petitions arising from anti-party activities that are inimical to the success of the party in the state.
Dr. Ojougboh was a former member of the People’s Democratic Party PDP. He was a south South chairman of the PDP but defected to the APC during the crisis that engulfed the PDP in the era of Ali Modu Sheriff as PDP national chairman.
Ojougboh was immediate past direct of project of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC).
Prior to this expulsion, Dr. Ojougboh had made uncomplimentary comments against Senator Ovie Omo-Agege, deputy president of the Senate and governorship of the APC in the March 18 governorship election in Delta state.
