The federal government has taken a decision on Interstate lockdown based on the recommendation from members of the presidential taskforce on COVID-19.
The presidential taskforce is led by Boss Mustapha, secretary to the government of the federation.
Boss Mustapha, during the daily media briefing of the PTF said: “Based on the Presidential Task Force On COVID-19 recommendations, the federal government has lifted the Iinter-state lockdown with effect from July 1st, 2020.”
Boss Mustapha also announced that final year classes in primary and post primary schools that is primary 6, JSS 111 and SS 111 are to resume classes. The three classes are resuming due to the final year examinations.
He also said airports will open in phases.
By this announcement and from July 1 being Wednesday, all road blocks are to be opened across the country.
