President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has appointed Kaduna State Governor, Uba Sani, as Renewed Hope Ambassador and Deputy Director-General for party outreach, engagement, and mobilisation.
The appointment takes immediate effect, according to a State House press release issued on Tuesday February 17, 2026.
The statement said the President, in his capacity as leader of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), selected the governor based on his leadership record and organisational capacity.
Under the new role, Sani will work closely with the Director-General of the Renewed Hope programme and the party leadership structure, especially the APC national chairman, to drive coordination, inclusiveness, and operational harmony across mobilisation and engagement efforts nationwide.
His mandate includes promoting and communicating the party’s programmes and policies, highlighting milestones and achievements, and strengthening public confidence in the Renewed Hope agenda across the country.
In a letter conveying the appointment, the President emphasised that the assignment is tied to long-term electoral strategy and nationwide political engagement ahead of the next general election cycle.
“The overall objective of your appointment is to ensure that the entire citizenry is aware of, understands, and ultimately supports our party and its candidates at all levels for broad national acceptance in the 2027 election,” the letter stated.
“Preparation is critical and essential to achieving this outcome, and your leadership will be central to guiding this process effectively and strategically.”
The statement was signed by the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, and dated February 17, 2026.
