Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Elder Sheriff Oborevwori, has approved a minor cabinet reshuffle involving four commissioners, alongside the nomination of three prominent individuals into the Governing Council of the Delta State University (DELSU), Abraka.
According to a statement signed by the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Dr. Kingsley Eze Emu, the changes are with immediate effect.
Under the reshuffle, Engr. Michael Ifeanyi Anoka has been moved from the Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Renewal to the Ministry of Energy, while Hon. Sunday Tataobuzogwu has been redeployed from the Ministry of Energy to the Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Renewal.
Similarly, Mrs. Rose Ezewu has been transferred from the Ministry of Secondary Education to the Ministry of Primary Education, and Dr. Kingsley Ashibuogwu has moved from the Ministry of Primary Education to the Ministry of Secondary Education.
Dr. Emu stated that the redeployments are part of ongoing efforts by the Oborevwori administration to strengthen service delivery and enhance efficiency across key sectors of government.
In a related development, the governor also approved the nomination of three persons into the Governing Council of Delta State University, Abraka. They are Rt. Hon. Festus Ovie Agas, Rt. Hon. Frank Enekorogha, and Mr. Charles Ajuyah, SAN.
The statement added that the inauguration date for the newly nominated governing council members would be announced in due course.
The latest decisions underscore Governor Oborevwori’s commitment to repositioning critical institutions and ensuring optimal performance in the delivery of governance and educational administration in Delta State.
