In a bold response to Nigeria’s ongoing economic challenges, the Business Summit, Fair, and Award (BSFAA) 2025 gathered entrepreneurs, policymakers, regulators, and innovators from across the country to chart a course for resilient business growth.
Held on Thursday, October 16, 2025, at the Radisson Blu Hotel, GRA Ikeja, the 6th edition of BSFAA, organized by Beady’s Word Productions, carried the theme “Thriving Beyond Economic Instability”.
The event was generously sponsored by Zenith Bank and featured participation from key players such as the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC).
Convener of BSFAA, Beady Nnanna, in her opening remarks, emphasized the resilience of Nigerian entrepreneurs and highlighted the summit’s growing reputation as a platform for empowering Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs), driving innovation, and advocating for a business-friendly environment.
“The Nigerian business spirit remains resilient. By embracing digital transformation, leveraging local resources, and collaborating purposefully, businesses can thrive even in challenging times,” she said.
Nnanna also launched her new book, “Family: Breaking Unbreakable Ties”, which underscores the role of family values in fostering purpose-driven and successful entrepreneurship.
Keynote speaker, Mr. Seye Olurotimi, Founder of MSME Africa, stressed the pivotal role of SMEs in the nation’s economy.
“Nigeria’s 40 million Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises contribute over 50 percent to the GDP and account for about 80 percent of employment. Without small businesses, no economy can grow,” he stated, urging entrepreneurs to adopt an “opportunity mindset” amid turbulence.
Other notable speakers included:
Pharm. Obiorah Mbidom, CEO of COSBI Nigeria Ltd, who emphasized health and wellness as vital to sustainable entrepreneurship.
Hon. Olugbenga Abdullahi, representing Senator Anthony Adefuye, who praised the initiative and urged government support for SMEs, particularly advocating for lower interest rates on loans and improved business policies.
An AI Advertising Training Session led by Mr. Kingsley Ife, Business Developer and AI Content Trainer, provided practical insights into how SMEs can leverage artificial intelligence for marketing growth.
The event culminated in the prestigious BSFAA Award Ceremony, honoring 19 outstanding individuals across sectors for their contributions to business, leadership, and community development. Among the honorees were:
