The Delta state police command has impounded five stolen vehicles including one Toyota Corolla, one Mercedes Formatic Jeep, one Lexus RX 350 with police spy plate number, and a Lexus RX 300 with presidency plate number.
The Lexus hearing the Spy police number is fully prepared as a spy police vehicle with No. Police PF2502-SPY while the presidency plate number has Reg. No. NYCN- 063.
Although the vehicles were displayed among other items and suspects paraded by the Delta state commissioner of police, Ari Muhammed Ali, the suspected thieves were not available as at press time.
The police commissioner said the occupant of the presidency plate number escaped from the vehicle on sighting police men trailing him. He said the vehicle was recovered to the police command while investigation is ongoing.
The commissioner added that one Elvis Efosa Osayande, 32 was the occupant of the police spy vehicle was arrested along Benin Asaba expressway.
Other suspects paraded by the police boss were 20 cultists who were arrested following a raid on their hide out in Agbor and Sapele area of the state. The suspects were said to have confessed to be members of Aro Baggers and Ayes confraternities
CP Muhammed Ali said two locally made cut to size guns, two Dane guns, one dagger, one laptop were recovered from them.
