Check why Sheriff Mulade is organising peace, unity quiz and essay competition

Sheriff Mulade, the chief executive officer of Centre for Peace and Environmental Justice (CEPEJ) is holding peace and unity quiz and essay competition in Warri, Delta state.
The event is billed to hold on March 3, 2021 at Hussey College Warri, Delta state. The competition is slated for rural and riverine communities in the state.
CEPEJ is a non governmental, non profit making organization, with a mandate to enhance peace, environmental cohesion in Nigeria and beyond.
The primary aim and objective of the competition is to promote child education in the riverine areas of Warri and its environs.
The initiative was introduced by Chief (Comrade) Sheriff Mulade, the Ibe -Sorumonwei (Kingdom Promoter), of Ancient Gbaramatu Kingdom, Warri South-West of Delta State, who is also the Chief Executive Officer of Center for Peace and Environmental Justice, with Offices across Nigeria and affiliated practices in other countries.
The purpose of the quiz and essay competition is to promote Peaceful coexistence among ethnic groups in the area especially the riverine and rural communities.
While chatting with media men in Asaba, the State Capital, he informed them that the annual competition is his personal commitment to the improvement of education, through the enhancement of reading culture.
He further stated that It was instituted to ensure that the children are equipped to become better citizens or leaders as well as fostering peace and unity through education amongst the rural/riverine Ijaws, Itsekiris and Urhobo communities of Warri South, Warri North and Warri South–West LGAs.
Furthermore, while narrating the positive impacts and results from the competition so far, he encouraged the government at all levels to join hands with civil society organizations such as Center for Peace and Environmental Justice (CEPEJ), to expand this all-important educative programme to other local government areas in the state.
Meanwhile, 2021 edition will hold at Hussey College Warri. The programme has two categories comprising the Junior and Senior Classes, with Winners carting away the major prizes, of 1st, 2nd and 3rd positions, while cash and other consolation prizes worth Millions naira will be splashed on all participating schools.
