In a significant development, the Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF) has officially confirmed Stanley Oghenevwede Paul as the duly appointed Commander for Edo State.

The announcement was made by General Commander Musa Amado on behalf of the National President, Lawan Jafar.

According to the official statement, Commander Stanley Paul has demonstrated exceptional leadership, dedication to community security, and a strong commitment to upholding the values and objectives of the CJTF.

His appointment, the statement said, comes in recognition of his longstanding service and contributions to grassroots peacekeeping efforts across the region.

“The CJTF believes that Commander Paul possesses the capacity, integrity, and local knowledge necessary to effectively lead the organization in Edo State.

We urge all local leaders, security stakeholders, and community members to accord him their full cooperation and support,” General Amado stated.

The CJTF, which plays a vital role in supporting national security agencies in community policing and counter-insurgency operations, emphasized the importance of collaboration at all levels.

The appointment of a state commander, the leadership noted, is a strategic move to enhance operational effectiveness and ensure rapid response to emerging security challenges in the state.

Commander Stanley Paul, speaking shortly after the announcement, expressed gratitude to the CJTF leadership for the confidence placed in him.

He pledged to work tirelessly with local authorities, traditional rulers, and youth groups to promote peace, prevent crime, and strengthen neighborhood watch systems.

“My commitment is to serve the people of Edo State with integrity, transparency, and resolve. Together, we will create safer communities and ensure that criminal elements find no refuge within our borders,” he said.

This development has been met with positive reactions from various community leaders and civil society organizations, who have lauded the CJTF’s decision as a step toward bolstering grassroots security and ensuring stability across Edo State
