In a significant move to strengthen the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Delta State, a high-powered delegation led by the Delta State APC Chairman, Elder Omeni Sobotie, met with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu earlier today.

The meeting, held at the State House, was attended by key figures from Delta State’s political landscape, including the three distinguished APC Senators from the state—Senator Ned Nwoko, Senator Ede Dafinone, and Senator Joel-Onowakpo Thomas, representing Delta North, Central, and South respectively.

Also present at the crucial meeting were Hon. Francis Waive, representing Ughelli North, Ughelli South, and Udu Federal Constituency, and the former National Women Leader of the APC, Hon. Stella Okotete, who also serves as the Executive Director of NEXIM Bank.

The primary focus of the meeting was to brief President Tinubu on the current state of the APC in Delta State.

The delegation presented a detailed overview of the party’s activities and highlighted the ongoing efforts to foster internal democracy within the party at the grassroots level.

These efforts, they emphasized, are key to ensuring the continued growth and influence of the APC in the state.

During the meeting, the delegation expressed their commitment to enhancing unity within the party and addressing challenges that could impede its progress in Delta State.

They also discussed the importance of upholding party principles and promoting inclusive leadership as essential factors for success in the upcoming electoral cycles.

In response, President Tinubu assured the delegation of his unwavering support for the party’s development in Delta State.

He commended the efforts of the APC leaders in the state and promised to provide the necessary assistance to ensure the party’s sustained success and growth in the region.

The President emphasized the need for unity, discipline, and a focus on delivering good governance to the people of Delta State.

The meeting concluded on a positive note, with the delegation expressing their gratitude to President Tinubu for his time and continued support.

The Delta APC leaders are optimistic that their discussions with the President will pave the way for greater party cohesion and stronger representation in the state moving forward.
