Delta APC Stakeholders Issue Urgent Appeal to President Tinubu, Say Renewed Hope in Jeopardy, Party Unity Threatened by Neglect of Existing Structures

A coalition of deeply concerned All Progressives Congress (APC) stakeholders in Delta State has issued an urgent appeal to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, warning that the current handling of party affairs in the state poses a significant threat to his “Renewed Hope” agenda and the overall strength of the APC.

Led by Chief Emma Ejiofor, Ph.D., the stakeholders expressed profound respect for the President while simultaneously voicing grave concerns about the recent integration of former PDP members into the Delta APC. They argue that this process, carried out without meaningful consultation, is creating a “profound crisis of confidence” that risks undermining the foundation President Tinubu is building.

“Mr. President, we recognize and deeply admire your strategic brilliance,” stated Chief Ejiofor. “However, the actions undertaken in Delta State feel less like strategic addition and more like a disruptive and destabilizing force that could inflict a deep wound on party unity. It appears our sacrifices and dedication count for nothing, with the prevailing sentiment being that we have been conquered.”

The stakeholders emphasized that the issue extends beyond Delta State, setting a dangerous precedent for loyal party members across the nation. They argued that the current situation risks squandering President Tinubu’s political capital and jeopardizing the “Renewed Hope” agenda through:

* Erosion of Trust: The blatant disregard for established party structures is creating a sense of betrayal among those who have tirelessly built the APC in Delta State.
* Violation of Party Principles: The disregard for the APC constitution and the elevation of unregistered individuals undermines the value of loyalty and adherence to the rules.
* Risk of Factionalism: The co-opting of individuals motivated by personal gain and inflammatory rhetoric from new entrants is creating deep divisions within the party.
* Undermining Your Legacy: The chaos in Delta State risks tarnishing President Tinubu’s legacy as a unifier by creating the perception that the APC rewards opportunism over loyalty.

The stakeholders directly appealed to President Tinubu to intervene with immediate and decisive action, requesting that he:

* Order an Immediate Review: Mandate a thorough review of the integration process in Delta State.
* Ensure Compliance: Ensure that all actions comply with the APC constitution and that the voices of loyal party members are heard and respected.
* Reaffirm Commitment: Reaffirm his commitment to rewarding dedication and hard work, building a party based on trust, loyalty, and shared values.

“We are confident that you, Mr. President, possess the wisdom and the political acumen to navigate this challenging situation and to restore unity and purpose to the APC in Delta State,” Chief Ejiofor concluded. “We stand ready to support your efforts in any way we can, and we remain steadfast in our belief in your leadership and your vision for a Renewed Hope for Nigeria.”
