The Senator representing Delta Central Senatorial District, Ede Dafinone, has extended warm felicitations to Muslim faithful in Delta Central, across Nigeria, and around the world on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr.
In a goodwill message issued on Friday, Senator Dafinone congratulated Muslims on the successful completion of Ramadan, describing the holy month as a period devoted to fasting, reflection, sacrifice, and spiritual renewal.
He noted that Eid al-Fitr marks not only the end of Ramadan but also the beginning of Shawwal, emphasizing the spiritual significance of the season in the Islamic calendar.
According to the lawmaker, Ramadan embodies enduring values such as patience, compassion, discipline, and generosity.
He urged adherents to sustain these virtues beyond the fasting period by strengthening the bonds of unity within families, communities, and the nation at large.
“As we celebrate Eid, we must continue to uphold the spirit of love and service, particularly by reaching out to the less privileged,” he stated, underscoring the importance of social responsibility and collective solidarity.
Senator Dafinone further described Eid al-Fitr as a time for forgiveness, unity, and gratitude.
He called on Nigerians to embrace peaceful coexistence, mutual respect, and shared commitment toward building a more just, inclusive, and compassionate society.
He concluded his message with prayers for peace, joy, sound health, and abundant blessings for Muslim faithful and their loved ones.
“On behalf of my family and my team, I wish you a most fulfilling and memorable Eid celebration. Eid Mubarak,” the statement read.
