Delta State Commissioner for Special Duties (Government House), Dr. Ifeanyi Osuoza, has extended warm felicitations to the immediate past Governor of Delta State, Senator (Dr.) Ifeanyi Okowa, on the occasion of his 66th birthday, describing him as an extraordinary and visionary leader whose contributions to the state remain enduring and impactful.
In a personally signed message released on Monday, July 8, 2025, Dr. Osuoza celebrated the former governor for his exemplary leadership and unwavering commitment to the progress and unity of Delta State.
“Your Excellency, as you mark your 66th Birthday Anniversary today, I, on behalf of my family, wish you a happy, glorious and memorable celebration,” Osuoza stated.
The Commissioner praised Okowa’s political and administrative acumen, noting that his years of service, particularly during his tenure as governor from 2015 to 2023, left a transformational legacy that continues to resonate throughout the state.
“Your visionary leadership, defined by your astute political and administrative acumen, continues to exert an impactful and pragmatic influence in Delta State,” Dr. Osuoza said. “You are indeed an extraordinary leader, and we are truly grateful for the opportunity to once again celebrate you on your special day.”
He also prayed for continued divine blessings, guidance, and protection for the former governor, whom he fondly referred to by his traditional title, “Ekwueme.”
Okowa, who also served as Vice Presidential candidate in the 2023 general elections, is widely respected for his strides in infrastructure development, healthcare reform, education, and youth empowerment during his administration. His leadership style has been credited with fostering peace and stability in the multi-ethnic state.
