The lawmaker representing Oshimili South in the Delta House of Assembly, Hon. Bridget Anyafulu, has extended her warm congratulations to Muslims in her constituency and around the world on the occasion of Eid-ul-Mawlid.
The significant celebration marks the birth of the Holy Prophet Muhammad, a revered figure in Islam.
In a heartfelt statement issued on Friday, Anyafulu expressed her felicitations on behalf of her family and the peace-loving people of Oshimili South.
“On behalf of my family and the good and peace-loving people of Oshimili South, I heartily congratulate and felicitate with Muslims in our local government area and the world over on this auspicious occasion of Eid-ul-Mawlid,” she said.
Anyafulu highlighted the exemplary life and teachings of Prophet Muhammad, emphasising his embodiment of virtues such as love, humility, compassion, tolerance, piety, sacrifice, self-control, and selfless service to humanity.
She noted that the Prophet’s life and legacy continued to inspire generations, promoting peaceful coexistence, justice, and happiness in society.
As Muslims celebrate Eid-ul-Mawlid, Anyafulu prayed that the Prophet’s teachings would inspire and guide individuals to strive for a more harmonious and just society.
“As we remember the Holy Prophet on this special day, may his exemplary life and teachings continue to inspire and guide us to strive for more peaceful coexistence, justice, and happiness in our society,” she said.
