Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Environment, Dr. (Mrs.) Minnie Oseji, recently rewarded 15 exemplary staff members for their outstanding contributions to the ministry.

The awards, which recognized excellent performance during 2022 and 2023, were presented in a ceremony held at her office.

Dr. Oseji emphasized that the selection process was based on nominations from fellow staff, which were reviewed carefully, ensuring that all awardees had clean records with no disciplinary actions.

In her remarks, Dr. Oseji expressed her delight at the recognition of the awardees, highlighting that the rewards were part of a larger strategy to encourage hard work and dedication within the civil service.

She announced a cash prize of N25,000 for each recipient as a token of appreciation.

Furthermore, she underscored the importance of adhering to regulations, such as work schedules during half working days, noting that none of the awardees had violated these rules.

Dr. Oseji hopes that initiatives like these will inspire others in the civil service and contribute to making Delta State’s civil service more effective and result oriented.

Mr. Anthony Osenu, Director of Administration, thanked Dr. Oseji on behalf of the awardees, expressing that the gesture would motivate them to continue striving for excellence and encouraging their colleagues to aim for similar recognition in the future.
