The Coalition of Christian Political Partners, an international christian group, representing various churches, with thousands of members in Delta North, has revealed why Prince Ned Nwoko, the Delta North People’s Democratic Party (PDP) senatorial candidate, is their prefered candidate for the 2023 senatorial election.

According to a press statement, released on Saturday, 28 January, 2023, signed by Pastor Israel Nduka Chima, coordinator of the group, the Christian group noted that, they are largely non-partisan and do not belong to a specific political party.

However, they, recognise the necessity of providing spiritual and moral guidance in the Socio-political affairs of Nigeria, particularly at this challenging period that the Nation yearns for responsive governance. Therefore, have decided to support candidates at various levels, that they believe would ensure good governance for the betterment of the society and for “the glory of God”.

The statement reads in parts:

“Following series of deliberations and consultations marked with fervent prayers, we have collectively identified an illustrious Anioma son as a worthy candidate ,deserving of our support and goodwill.

“He is Hon.Prince Ned Nwoko, who is seeking elective office as Delta North Senatorial Candidate of the Peoples Democratic party PDP.

“Our unanimous and collective endorsement of Hon.Prince Ned Nwoko as the SOLE CANDIDATE of the coalition of Christian political partners for Delta North senate seat, is based on his pleasant personality, sterling integrity and selfless service to the Nation, Delta state and Anioma.

“Hon. Ned Nwoko is a good son of Anioma with excellent achievements.”

The Christian group described the Antarctica explorer as an outstanding accomplisher, a philanthropist, and a foremost promoter of religious tolerance, peace and unity.

“To help in actualizing his dream to become a SENATOR,the Coalition of Christian political partners will mobilize it’s teeming members to give Hon.Ned Nwoko at least nine thousand votes in the February 25th 2023 polls.

“We shall also sensitize and mobilize all eligible voters across the nine local government areas of Delta North, to cast their votes for Ned , irrespective of their political leanings, conscious of the incontrovertible fact that his tenure at the Senate, would usher meaningful and lasting development to Anioma land.

“We urge all registered voters who are yet to collect their permanent voter’s cards (PVCs) to do so and vote massively for Hon. Ned Nwoko for the good of Delta North.” The statement read further.
