Redemption group, an Anioma based grassroot socio-economic and political pressure group, with a mission to support candidates who represent their vision, has stated that, the antecedents of the Anioma born Antarctica explorer and present Delta North People’s Democratic Party (PDP) senatorial candidate, Prince Ned Nwoko, stand him out from opposition candidates.
The group made this clear during a meeting with the senatorial candidate, at Mount Ned, Idumuje Ugboko, on Sunday, 22 January, 2023.
Calyxtus Enweazu, the group’s secretary, speaking on behalf of the group, was vocal with their desire to see Ned Nwoko occupy the office of senate in Delta North senatorial district. He stated that, Nwoko’s vision for Anioma, is in line with the group’s vision. Therefore, the group is set to give him every support that he needs to win seamlessly.
“Nwoko’s past records distinguish him from other opposition candidates. His presence is all over Delta North. He is someone we can reach out to anytime we need him in person, unlike other candidates who are not accessible.
“We don’t want representatives that do not have the mind of the people. Such representatives are only available during pre election period. Our meeting with Ned does not just end after elections. We meet with him even when there is no election. Ned is somebody that can represent our interest, and that is our fundamental reason for endorsing his candidacy.” Enweazu said.
The group also promised to extend their support to other PDP candidates, in order to give Nwoko a complete team, as he sets to represent Delta North in the red chamber.
