Former governorship aspirant of Peoples Democratic Party PDP in Delta State, Chief Sunny Onuesoke, has cautioned Senator Ali Ndume, not to drag Mrs. Uchenna Ubah, wife of late Senator Ifeanyi Ubah, into the murky politics of Nigeria.
Ndume, representing Borno South, had urged the Senate to allow Uchenna Ubah, the widow of the late Senator Ifeanyi Ubah, to succeed him as the representative of Anambra South Senatorial District.
But, Onuesoke, while reacting on Wednesday, disagreed with Ndume, noting that Uchenna Ubah should be left alone to mourn her late husband and take care of her children in peace.
The Chairman of Onuesoke Foundation, reminded Ndume that Senate chamber or seat is not from husband to wife.
Onuesoke further advised Ndume not to expose wife and children of late Senator Ubah to unnecessary ridicule and political attacks over the Senate position.
“Senator Ali Ndume must allow the people of that Senatorial District to decide or determine who replaces late Senator Ubah in the Senate.”
According to him, “I therefore, urge Senator Ali Ndume to withdraw that statement and leave Mrs. Uchenna Ubah alone.”
