Police on Tuesday March 16,2021, raided a dreaded section of Ubeji, a community in Warri South local government area of Delta state.
According to the police public relations officer, Bright Edafe, youths of Ubeji community are very resistant to police arrest in the area
Prior to the move by the police to arrest suspected weed sellers in the area, an undercover video was made showing the youths selling weeds comfortably. The weeds were believed to be canabis sativa
According to the police public relations officer, considering the aggressive, violent and resistance nature of the community youths against police effecting arrest, a formidable operational plan was drawn by the divisional police officer CSP T.Y Mahmud.
He said the identified spot was marked and stormed in a record time despite the community youths resistance and attack on police through sporadic gun shots and pelting of stones.
He said the police men through courage and resilience were able to arrest one  Monday Akpako who is the principal suspect and has confessed to be a major dealer in cannabis in the area.
