The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, stakeholders in Ihu–Ozomo community, Ika South Delta state have threatened to dump the party, following their alleged marginalization by the PDP led administration in the state.
This position was made known on Tuesday by elders and leaders in the community.
Spokesman of the leaders, Elder Goodname Eboma said: “Since the creation of Ika South, apart from Hon Kingsley Nonye Philips who was declared by Court of Appeal and didn’t stay up to three months, nobody from Ihu–Ozomo has held any elective office.
He said Ihu–Ozomo community is made up of four villages namely Alisimie, Omumu, Alisor and Ozanogogo, and wondered why the party is marginalizing them dispite given full support since the emergence of the party.
Where is Ihu–Ozomo community in this upcoming 2023 elections? Are we not part and parcel of Ika South?, Elder Ebomah queried.
Efforts to speak with the local government party chairman, Jude Onya was unsuccessful as his number was not reachable at the time of filing this report.
