True to his philanthropic nature, Social Democratic Party governorship candidate, Olorogun Barrister Kenneth Gbagi has supported the Anglican Church stadium building project at the Ughelli Diocese. He pledged 10 million naira for the project which he redeemed on the spot.
The current venue where the 3 days convention of the Silver Jubilee has been holding is no more accommodating the membership, according to the resident Bishop, hence the need to expand to accommodate a larger congregation.
Rt Reverend Cyril Odutemu on behalf of the congregation accepted the donation, led prayers and anointed Gbagi in preparation for the election.
He led the congregation in prayers on behalf of the governorship candidate, commending his believability and commitment to honouring his promises.
In his words, “Gbagi promised and he has fulfilled his promise, that means he will do what he says.
He made specific prayers for Gbagi and his governorship ambition.
“Father, your son has told us his programmes, we pray for him. God grant him success and let your will be done in him. That which he proposed for good, empower him to fulfill in the name of God the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.
“Lord Jesus, there will be vacancy at the government house on the 29th of May that somebody must occupy and Deltans will decide that in March.”
The Bishop called on the church members to make sure they have their PVCS in order to participate in the forthcoming elections to vote Gbagi
“With them, we will remove every corruption and Satanic agenda from the country. With their PVC, they will axe every enemy of progress, they will determine the election and may God grant you success”.
