À new government with renewed hope and better life for everyone is on the way as Olorogun Barrister Kenneth Gbagi, governorship candidate of the Social Democratic Party moves to wrestle power from the ruling People’s Democratic Party in Delta state.
Olorogun Gbagi, a former minister of state for education, told a crowd of Deltans who gathered in Kwale, Ndokwa west on Saturday that his administration would wipe all the pains inflicted on Deltans by the ruling PDP.
Gbagi told the people that the ruling party had regularly told lies to Deltans that things would be better but available facts indicate that the ruling party in the state has no blueprint for emancipation of Delta people.
He said he had planned to actualise the development plan for Delta through the PDP but when he realised that he cannot achieve the goal through the PDP he had to switch over to SDP to put Delta on a right footing.
He said the state is bedeviled by challenges of pensioners who are dying without getting the money they worked for 35 years.
“I believe I can turn the state around. I have the capacity to revive the economy of the state. We need a business man with good business acumen to run Delta state.
“I have created wealth for young people and children to survive. I know what I will do between Asaba and Onitsha that will generate N2billion every month. We have seaports that have closedown because of negligence. This we will revive.
“Hear me, within 30 days of swearing in we will engage our youths. The state is rich enough to cater for everyone. I make statements and I live by them. I cannot tell you what I will not do. We will do critical need assessment and come out with a development blue-print for Delta state,” Gbagi revealed in Kwale.
