Dr. Michael Nwoko, senior special assistant to former Governor Ifeanyi Okowa, has congratulated the people of Delta state on the 32nd anniversary of the creation of Delta state.
In a congratulatory message, Dr. Nwoko said Delta has waded through a lot of challenges but in the midst of the challenges the state has remained united, peaceful and has made remarkable progress.
Dr. Nwoko, who is fondly called the Political Oshobe, noted that from creation of the state 32 years ago, Delta has evolved and become one of the states to reckon with among the comity of states in Nigeria.
He commended efforts of previous and present governors in developing the state to its enviable height.
He paid glowing tribute to formers Governors James Ibori, Emmanuel Uduaghan, Ifeanyi Okowa and incumbent Governor Sheriff Oborevwori for their foresight, creative mind and love for the development of the state.
He said in the midst of the political turmoil the state has been going through due to differences in political affiliation, Deltans have remained united and peaceful.
He called on Deltans to continue to celebrate the development that has taken place since creation of the state. He said there has been transformation of villages to towns, towns to cities and cities have developed beyond “our widest imagination.”
As Deltans roll out the drums to celebrate the massive development across the nooks and crannies of the state, he called on all Deltans to join hands with Governor Sheriff Oborevwori to continue the development of the state with his MORE agenda.
