As part of his ongoing Christmas outreach activities, the Chief of Staff to Senator Ned Nwoko and convener of the Asiwaju Boys/Girls movement, Dr. Michael Nwoko (The Political Oshobe), on Monday, December 15, 2025, hosted the executive members of Ward 8 in Idumuje-Unor in a strategic engagement aimed at strengthening party unity and grassroots participation.
The meeting, held in a warm and interactive atmosphere, brought together key ward-level party leaders and stakeholders. Dr. Nwoko described the engagement as particularly significant, emphasizing that ward structures constitute the grassroots backbone and foundational framework of the party.
According to him, sustainable political organization and effective representation can only be achieved when the grassroots are actively engaged, supported, and carried along in the party’s vision and activities.
“The ward structure represents the true foundation of the party. Any meaningful political progress must begin from the grassroots, and this is why this meeting is very important to me,” Dr. Nwoko stated.
He further noted that the Christmas outreach was designed not only to celebrate the season of goodwill but also to reinforce collaboration, inclusiveness, and appreciation for party members who work tirelessly at the community level.
In his response, the Ward 8 Chairman, Mr. Peter Nzeduino, expressed profound appreciation to Dr. Nwoko for remembering and reaching out to the ward executives. He described the gesture as rare and commendable, noting that such direct engagement from senior political leaders is uncommon.
Mr. Nzeduino added that the visit had boosted morale among party executives and reaffirmed their relevance in the broader party structure. He assured Dr. Nwoko of the ward’s continued loyalty, support, and commitment to the party’s ideals and leadership.
The meeting ended with renewed commitments to party unity, grassroots mobilization, and sustained engagement between elected leaders, party officials, and community structures as the festive season progresses.
