“The woman is the key factor to the family, she is the backbone and foundation of the children “
“if she is up to date in the upbringing of her children, with the less support of the environment, the children will become glorious people “
These were the comments of former executive director, finance and administration, Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Dr. Lambert Konboye, during the funeral rites of his beloved mother, late Mrs. Ananabor Mary Konboye, in Ogodobiri town, Bomadi local government, Delta state.
Dr Konboye said, his mother handled him with iron hand which moulded and shaped his character in life, always doing the thing bearing in mind of possible implications, saying that translated to his success in academic and profession.
He noted that the glory would always go to mother for their immense quality service and contributions rendered towards the upbringing of her children.
He opined that, his mother, Late Mrs Ananabor Mary Konboye died at the aged of 94 years as a fulfilled mother, woman, saying that during her lifetime, her revolutionary action stopped the killing of twins in mein clan in Ijaw land, because she was a brave and courageous woman.
Dr. Konboye advised women to be knowledgeable to beef up their children, so that the Children can become great men and women in life.
The burial gathered dignitaries from far and near.
