In an outpouring of pride, former Deputy Governor of Delta State, His Excellency Deacon Barrister Kingsley B. Otuaro, has celebrated the historic achievement of Delta students who steered Nigeria to victory at the World Schools Debate Championship in Doha.
Otuaro praised the students’ eloquence and intellect, noting that their journey began with triumph in the national debate organized under the Presidency before they outclassed strong international rivals.
Otuaro also extended warm commendation to the Government of Delta State under the leadership of His Excellency Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, acknowledging that such success is only possible in an environment where education is genuinely prioritized.
He noted that the administration’s continued commitment to supporting schools, teachers, and students has helped lay the groundwork for achievements like this, calling it proof of what can happen when leaders place learning at the forefront of development.
Highlighting the role of families and educators, Otuaro said, “Their silent sacrifices and steadfast belief prepared these young champions for the world stage.”
Reaffirming his personal mission, Otuaro concluded, “Education remains my unwavering priority, for it is the most powerful tool to shape the future of Delta and Nigeria.”
