The campaign promises of Olorogun Barrister Kenneth Gbagi are not words of mouth, although many uninformed persons may view them so. That, in the reasoning of business minded persons, is having a small brain. However, Gbagi, an industrialist and a business mogul, has a big brain that can accommodate the biggest business idea in a fast evolving economy.

Gbagi, the foremost guber aspirant in Delta state who is winning hearts to himself, has one of the best business brains in the state. That is why within the next few months, he will be commissioning one of the biggest beverage production factories in Warri, the commercial nerve of Delta state.

Olorogun Kenneth Gbagi

On Friday, February 11, 2022, Emerald News Editor visited Philippe Leporcher, the Managing Director of the factory, the newest beverage production factory established by Olorogun Barrister Kenneth Gbagi in Warri, Delta state. Leporcher told Emerald News that the factory will produce large quantity of the product for sale both in Delta and other neighbouring states. He said the idea behind Olorogun Barrister Kenneth Gbagi venturing into the business is to create jobs and employment for the teeming unemployed youths in the state.

According to Leporcher, a French man with years of experience in managing organisations across many African countries, the dream is to engage qualified Deltans for all stages of the production process. He told Emerald News that he has worked with Olorogun Gbagi for over 10 years and he attested to the integrity and disciplined lifestyle of the Urhobo born business executive.

He said qualified engineering graduates would be employed in the factory. He told this online medium that the factory is designed to run 24 hours as the factory staff would operate on shift basis. He said not less than 100 Delta youths will be recruited at the first stage of the recruitment process.

According to Leporcher, who said he has traveled across more than 27 states in Nigeria and met many business executives, in the first recruitment exercise, priority will be given to Deltans who live close to the firm, just as he said accommodation will be provided to most staff of the factory. His reasons for the accommodation are clear, management does not need to begin looking for staff members when they are urgently needed.

He said an email address specially for recruitment has been developed for those who want to submit their curriculum vitae and those deemed qualified will be shortlisted. This, according to him, is to give job opportunity for Deltans to get good paying jobs. He added that as usual in standard organisations, staff that performed well will be given incentives as booster for their inventiveness and performance.

“We are putting in place policies of incentives. Many people are looking for secured jobs. We will set criteria, attitude, behaviour with other staff, commitment to duty, achievement of set goals and others. The policy will be part of inner promotion strategies,” the MD told Emerald News.

Mr. Leporcher noted: “Chairman is looking at providing jobs for Deltans. Many do not have jobs. You can bring revenue to your family, earn a decent living and put smiles on the faces of people around you. Many youths have graduated from the universities and technical institutions but have no jobs. We are going for high quality products that will meet the taste of our consumers. We have fleet of vehicles that will convey our products to our customers.”

He said the land housing the factory is huge and is in a strategic location in the oil city. It has a transformer installed that will provide lighting for the production process. He told Emerald News that Nigeria has a big market for the sale of goods, saying there’s a ready market for all products.

He said Gbagi has been an industrialist for decades and has touched lives and created opportunities for people to earn decent living for themselves. He said since Nigeria cannot provide jobs for all citizens, the best is to create enabling environment for private individuals who have the means to do so.

Leporcher described Gbagi as an experienced personality, an achiever and a man who will always pursue his goal till when it is actualised. He said in many countries of the world, as it is in Nigeria, politicians talk a lot but after years of being in power, there’s nothing to show for it. However, he said Gbagi has remained consistent with his promises.

He said: “I have worked with him for more than 10 years. I know him. When he becomes governor, many things will change in this state. People calling Gbagi names are people who lack discipline. I have visited 27 states in this country, I’ve met CEOs of big firms, Gbagi is a man of integrity and discipline.”

He noted that the question these critics should ask is “has Gbagi stolen money from anyone? Before he became minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, he has acquired many of his assets. These assets and properties were not built with government money. He has a clean record.” Many people have raised accusations against Olorogun Kenneth Gbagi but in the reasoning of Mr. Leporcher, they are accusations from people who do not have knowledge of Gbagi. He scored Gbagi high and he believes Gbagi will be the best governor Delta will ever produce in history.
