The illegal structures built at Anambra State International Cargo Airport Road, Umueri have been marked for demolition.

The Taskforce from the Anambra State Physical Planning Board (ANSPPB) inspected the area and marked out the illegal structures while sounding a note of warning concerning the demolition that will take place very soon.

The Chairman of the Board, Mr. Chike Maduekwe, a Lawyer, pointed out that those developers building on the airport road did not obtain the necessary approvals, adding that the structures were supposed to be built about 100 meters away from the road.

Maduekwe, then, described the developers as recalcitrant, noting that their actions were illegal.

He cautioned that the ANSPPB would in two weeks time embark on demolition of these illegal structures, if not removed before then by such developers.
