Olorogun Barrister Kenneth Gbagi, the governorship candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), has lauded the Independent National Electoral Commission ( INEC) for the effective operations of the BVAS at the ongoing gubernatioral elections.
Speaking with newsmen after casting his vote at his Otu-Jeremi ward 2 polling unit 15, Gbagi said “The BVAS worked more effectively in this election than it did in the presidential election, although there are issues of snatching of ballot boxes by some criminal elements.”
He noted that this act of snatching ballot boxes shows that the APC is made of persons that have made politics very difficult and have rendered politicians names that are not theirs.
When asked about his younger brother and kinsman from his hometown Oginibo, the Labour Party gubernatorial candidate, Ken Pela, Gbagi revealed that the people of his hometown have rejected the LP candidate.
Gbagi stressed that unless Ken Pela gets a presidential pardon from alleged criminal offense, he cannot be a governor just as he alleged that Pela is not Oginibo man but from ijaw land.
Laying emphasis on the level of stealing, hardship and sufferings in Delta, he urged all Deltans to hold their mandates and come along to liberate Delta state with him.
“I stand here as one who can liberate the state and that is what I intend to do”, he said.
