The recently concluded six days Global Crusade with Pastor Kumuyi, GCK, held at the boisterous town of Yola, Adamawa state will remain indelible in the sand of time as thousands of people gave their lives to Christ while many others received healing and deliverance.

Many people from across the 21Local Government Areas of Adamawa State and the adjoining states of Gombe, Taraba, Borno and Cameroon Republic, turned up at the Alpha location, Unity Camp, Deeper Life Bible Church in the state.

While many gave their lives to Christ as well as received healing from different ailments and diseases at the physical location in Yola, Adamawa State, others experienced miracles of healing while monitoring GCK live on both traditional and social media across the world.

The ministration of the Convener of the crusade who is also the General Superintendent of the church was transmitted live via satellite, various social media platforms and other electronic media to millions of people.

This provided a unique opportunity for people across denominations in Nigeria and around the world to partake in the historic event as it was taking place at Alpha location in Yola, Adamawa State.

The theme of the crusade was “The Power That Never Fails”. Motivated by the theme, many were delivered from the bondage of sin and sicknesses and gave their lives to Christ with a promise of commitment and consecration.

Several men and women at physical venue and online across nations of the world experienced divine encounter, salvation, deliverance, healing while the anointed servant of God was praying, testified to the goodness of God and however prayed God to continue to annoint him and grand him sound health.

In one of the messages, Pastor Kumuyi noted that salvation, healing, freedom and deliverance are products of God’s mercy.

Kumuyi, who spoke on the topic: “The Continual Mercies of Our Ever Compassionate Maker”, took his reading from 1 Peter 1:3-5; Roman 12:1-2, and revealed that redemption means deliverance from the darkness and every power of satan.

According to him, Christ is the redeemer, refiner, healer and He wants everyone to have full salvation, full redemption and full freedom and not partial salvation, adding that Jesus breaks every bondage, yoke, power of darkness and gives full salvation, deliverance and healing through His unmerited mercy.

Making a remark as a guest during the GCK, the CAN Chairman Adamawa State Chapter, Bishop Dr. Stephen Dami Mamza, who is also the Catholic Bishop of Yola Diocess, described Kumuyi’s Deeper Life Bible Church as exemplary for Christians.

“You are our example,” Mamza told the cheering crowd at the Deeper Life Unity Camp, venue of the GCK in Yola, adding, “Deeper Life people live practical Christianity. They go by what they preach. They lead by example.”

He told Kumuyi, the GS and the Convener of GCK that he is proud of him and the members of his church, and congratulated them for being a light to others, and tasked other christians to emulate them.

On his part, Senator Ishaku Abbo, Senator Northern Senatorial District who spoke as a testifier during the testimony session, stirred the crowd further when he gave an account of his Christian life, saying that his deepness in Christianity was shaped by the Deeper Life Church.

He said he was only a fledgling Christian when, by mingling with mostly Deeper Life students in his secondary school days, he was impacted significantly.

Disclosing that he had long wished to meet with Pastor Kumuyi in person, he asked for a touch by the man of God, and Kumuyi who was incidentally on the podium as Abbo gave his testimony, obliged, stood from his chair, and gave Abbo a long hug as the large crowd at the crusade venue cheered further.

The Yola version of the GCK had been almost as lively two days earlier, on Saturday November 26, when Kumuyi hosted over 7,000 youths on whom he showered prayers for success, in line with the theme of the Saturday morning session, ‘Empowered for Excellence’.

During the segment which was designed for teenagers, campus students, corps members and young adults who gathered under the banner of Impact Academy, Kumuyi made exhortations and prayers for the young ones.

He advised the participants to define who they are and why they are on earth, saying, “Anyone with an aim and passion for pursuit will achieve success. Get out of the bunch and be a special person. Develop such spirit which sets you apart for excellence.”

Past. Kumuyi, took his reading from Deut 8:18; and 1 Chr 29:12-13, while speaking on the topic “Unique Great Privildge Empowered for Excellence”.

He told the gathering that a boy or a girl that is not pursuing anything will make no progress in life, adding that anyone who has a passion will get greater achievement and progress in life.

Past. Kumuyi, assured them that they are the boys and girls of excellence, saying that no matter what has happened in the past, there is going to be a new beginning for them.

The programme drew teenagers, students, corps members and young adults mostly from both public and private primary and Secondary Schools, Polytechnics, Colleges of Education and Universities among others in the state and across the world.

During the historic event, junior and senior youths as well as vocational and ex-students were equipped on removing barriers to all round excellence, little foxes that destroy all round excellence and sustaining power for all round excellence.

Likewise, staff, students, corpers and postgraduate were impacted on advancing in scholarship and exceptional service, breaking through barriers to holistic achievement and the creed for aspiring achievers.

The event also featured panel discussion which created ample opportunity for the participants at the Alpha Location in Yola, and online who asked and answered questions.

The panelists featured during the session at the Alpha Location include; Professor Lucky Uche, Modibbo Adama University, Dr. Elizabeth Adewuyi, Modibbo Adama University Teaching Hospital, Yola.
On her part, the Wife of the Convener, Esther Kumuyi, had while addressing them, said that it was so great to be a part of the November edition of Impact Academy.

She told them that they are for signs and for wonders and prayed God to baptize them afresh with the spirit of excellence.
