The 1988 set of Ransome Kuti Memorial Grammar School, Surulere, Lagos chose to mark the 30th anniversary and reunion of their set in a nostalgic way.
They recreated being in secondary school after 30 years.
They wore their school uniforms to school. They gathered in the school for the morning assembly. Latecomers knelt down as it was when they were in school. The morning assembly was conducted and announcements made. They sang their old school songs and marched into class in single files.
Current students were present to witness this as a way to create that pride for their school in them.
