A fake officer of Department of State Security DSS has been arrested by the Delta state police command.
The man named James Emmanuel Oludare had a chat with one Ebiwori Opori who is currently serving jail term in Sokoto.
According to Bright Edafe, the police public relations officer in Delta state, the case was reported by Mr. Larry Opori on March 16, 2021.
He said Oludare chatted with Ebiwori Opori on Facebook and that Oludare introduced himself as a DSS official, adding that he could release Ebiwori Opori from prison with his connections.
Hence, he demanded for N720,000, the money was subsequently transferred to his Access Bank account, awaiting his release from prison custody.
He said since the transfer of the money, the said Oludare, the fake DSS officer,vhas refused to pick phone calls.
He added that police officers, on receipt of the complaint, moved into action and tracked down the suspect. The police PRO said James Oludare has been arrested and that investigation is ongoing.
