Barrister Kingsley Burutu Otuaro, Esq., the former deputy governor of Delta State on Friday congratulated Governor Sherrif Oborevwori on his victory at the Supreme Court on Friday.
In a statement by Pastor Arex Akemotubo, media aide to Otuaro’, he described Oborevwori’s win as a legal confirmation that strengthens the country’s democratic system.
In addition to praising the Supreme Court Justices for their steadfast dedication to preserving the rule of law, the former deputy governor encouraged Deltans to band together in support of Governor Oborevwori for a stronger and more prosperous state.
He also expressed gratitude to the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) for their unflinching perseverance and support throughout the entire legal process.
The statement reads, “To Governor Sheriff Oborevwori and the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), I convey my sincere congratulations on our stunning victory at the Supreme Court today regarding the 2023 governorship election.
“This momentous victory not only represents legal legitimacy but also reaffirms the people of Delta State’s faith in the administration of H.E. Rt. Elder Sheriff F.O. Oborevwori.”
Otuaro reiterated his congratulations, expressing optimism that Governor Sherrif Oborevwori’s leadership would continue to bring positive and transformative developments to Delta State.
He called on all stakeholders and residents to actively contribute to the progress and well-being of the state under the governor’s capable leadership “because, as Deltans, we are undivided and united, regardless of party affiliation.”
He said the verdict is a win for everyone, emphasising the spirit of no winner no loser—a triumph for democracy.
