1. Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) Tuesday arrested a former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode. It was learnt that Fani-Kayode was nabbed and subsequently taken to the Lagos zonal office of the anti-graft agency for alleged manipulation and forgery of documents.

2. Malam Mele Kyari, Group Managing Director of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC), has hinted that a litre of fuel may sell between N320 and N340 in 2022. He said this during the presentation of the World Bank Nigeria Development Update, November 2021 edition titled “Time for Business Unusual” in Abuja on Tuesday.

3. Governors of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) say Nigeria cannot survive another four years under the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC). Chairman of the PDP Governors Forum and Governor of Sokoto State, Aminu Tambuwal, said this Tuesday at the opening ceremony of a two-day PDP National Retreat 2021 themed “It’s Time to Rescue and Rebuild Nigeria”.

4. A police station was yesterday, burnt down at Arondizuogu in Ideato Local Government Area of Imo State. Micheal Abattam, Police Public Relations Officer in the state, confirmed this, saying the incident led to the death of an officer.

5. Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, has said the report of the Lagos Judicial Panel of Inquiry on the alleged Lekki Toll Gate shooting is “a rehash of the unverified fake news that has been playing on social media since the incident of October 20, 2020.” Mohammed said this during a press conference in Abuja on Tuesday.

6. President Muhammadu Buhari has suspended the inauguration of the newly constituted Board of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company. The suspension was contained in a statement on Tuesday by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha.

7. The Senate Committee on Air Force, yesterday, called on the Federal Government to empower the Nigerian Police to tackle insecurity in the country. Chairman of the Committee, Senator Bala Ibn Na’Allah, made the call on Tuesday while presenting the budget report of his committee to the appropriation committee.

8. The Department of State Services (DSS) has told an Oyo State High Court sitting at Ibadan, that the Yoruba Nation agitator, Sunday Adeyemo, also known as Sunday Igboho is currently undergoing the process of extradition back to Nigeria.

9. The Chief of Defence Staff, Gen. Lucky Irabor, has stressed on the imperatives of joint operations among the nation’s armed forces towards achieving effectiveness in counter-insurgency, anti-banditry and other security operations across the country. Irabor stated this while delivering the graduation lecture for participants of Army War College Nigeria (AWCN) in Abuja.

10. The German government has asked the Federal Government of Nigeria to release at least 30,000 Nigeria Police personnel for special training in Germany on how to manage protests among Nigerians without using weapons. This was disclosed on Tuesday by a high-level delegation from Germany, which visited the Chairman of the Police Service Commission (PSC), Musiliu Smith.
