National president of Committee for the Defense of Human Rights CDHR, Prince Kehinde Taiga, has sent an appealing advice to Labour Party, PDP and other parties involved in the last Saturday’s presidential elections.

In an exclusive interview with Emerald News, Taiga advised all parties to accept defeat as it concerns the election results, noting that the judicial system of Nigeria is corrupt and will not deliver justice.

He said; “The judiciary system of Nigeria is corrupt, it would be very difficult as far as this country is concerned that a sitting judge will give ruling against the president elect.

“We should not be expecting any good judgement with regards to this election that has been conducted. Nothing good will come out from the judges, they are all looking for money”.

Though Taiga agreed that the election was fraudulent, he said INEC has already declared somebody a winner and the other parties can go to court if they want.

He, however, said going to court will be a waste of time as no sitting judge would  deliver judgement against the president elect..

“Going to court and hoping to nullify the election and that Nigeria will go for another presidential election is a wasted effort from any political party”, he said.

“It is better for them to congratulate, just like what Goodluck did. He  was robbed also. I did not see his elections as free and fair, but being that he is a man that believes in Nigeria he said his election does not worth the blood of a Nigerian.

He said other political parties should also do that so that their names might be in history.  Because I will tell you that Nigeria judicial system is very bad and I don’t think any judge will sit in his chamber or court to say the presidential elections of the federal republic of Nigeria is null and void and that the INEC should go and conduct another fresh election..

He further added that no elections in Nigeria has ever been free and fair;

“In all Nigeria elections, from 1999 till date, no election has been free and fair. ,We’ve  not matured to that extent where elections is conducted free and fair,

“Even in local government elections, it’s not been free and fair and even the forthcoming governorship elections,you will see what will happen.

“So they should accept defeat. Obi has been defeated, PDP has been defeated and nobody should make an inciting statement that would cause riot in the country,  The election has come and gone.
