Operatives of the Delta state police command have arrested the alleged prime suspect in the murder of a 50-year-old pepper seller at Umeh village in Isoko South local government area of Delta state.
The breakthrough arrest was confirmed to journalists by the command’s Acting Public Relations Officer, DSP Edafe Bright on Saturday 7th August, 2021.
The suspect, one Akpoghene Idogo, shoemaker was arrested at his hideout somewhere at Kwale area of the state.
The police had earlier arrested Akpoghene’s accomplice, one Onos Simon, over the murder of the pepper trader, Mrs. Patience Komore, while in a business transaction to purchase pepper.
The police had said that efforts were on top gear to arrest other conspirators who paid the two alleged murderers the sum of N100,000 to kill the woman for ritual purposes.
